After the trailer was released (our detailed review is here), fans have been talking about whether we’ll see Alan Wake 2 at the Summer Game Fest event hosted by Geoff Keighley. And really we just got straight confirmationthat the game will appear at the event in full force. At SGF, we expect not only a trailer, but also footage directly from the gameplay, which will be commented live by creative director Sam Lake. If you want to watch Summer Game Fest, mark June 8th on your calendars and the show will start at 21:00.

By the way, about the upcoming game expressed also Head of Marketing at Remedy Studios Thomas Puha. He clarified that footage from the PS Showcase trailer has been launched on the PlayStation 5. But that’s not all, the Finnish developers are very ambitious and paid a lot of attention to graphics, again using their Northlight engine: “In 2021, we said we were going to improve the graphics a lot here (in Alan Wake 2). I think we’re in for the most beautiful game of 2023.” says Pooh. This is certainly a very strong statement. Let’s see if this becomes a reality.
