Just today, the recently announced RTX 4060 Ti graphics card hit the market, which, by the way, is extremely negative, with several leading hardware experts advising buyers to avoid this model. Now comes a partial response from AMD, which has only had the highest-end next-generation models on the market so far in the form of the RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT. The recently announced Radeon RX 7600 is on the opposite side of the spectrum, a cheaper card designed for full HD gaming.
The RX 7600 offers 32 compute units (2048 stream processors) with a game frequency of 2250 MHz and boost up to 2655 MHz. It also has 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory with a 128-bit bus, and the maximum consumption should be 165 watts. The official price tag is set at $269, and the card will go on sale tomorrow, i.е. May 25th.
Along with the announcement came reviews (Techpowerup, Gamers Nexus, Hardware Unboxed and others) and I must say that they are not entirely complimentary. The performance of the card is not bad, slightly above the level of the RX 6650 XT. But the prices for the latest generation graphics from AMD have dropped sharply, and in fact the new product will compete more with the Radeon RX 6700 XT, which has not only higher performance, but also more video memory. Therefore, it will be quite difficult for a new product from AMD to prove itself, especially against the background of its own competitors.
