Bloodborne first hit the scene in 2015 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, where it managed to garner unprecedented attention. To this day, it’s one of the works that the PC community considers something they’d love to play. Lance McDonald, data collector and well-known figure in the gaming community, has provided proof that Bloodborne: The Old Hunters Edition is playable on PC. He spoke about this on the ResetEra forum, where he shared information about screenshots taken by the creator of the From Software environment Macos Domenech.
According to McDonald, these screenshots were taken from the game’s original Windows installation, not from an earlier version called “project beastThe titles of the screenshots indicate that they were taken while playing the PC version of the game. McDonald himself notes that the screenshots are titled “SPRJ-win64“, which is the file naming convention used by the game when taking screenshots in the debug menu. McDonald also states that the screenshots are taken from the Fishing Hamlet location, suggesting that this is a version of the game that includes both the base game and the DLC.
The PC version of Bloodborne has yet to be officially announced. McDonald himself admits that this is only a small part of the evidence for the existence of a Bloodborne PC devkit, but it certainly does not mean that the game will fall into the hands of the public. Overall, there isn’t much speculation around Bloodborne, and it always ends in disappointment. Let’s hope that we see him in time, even if the real chances are not very high.
