According to available information, 4 million units of the new Zelda were sold in the United States. Another 2.24 million are registered in Japan.
As early as Sunday, the UK reported that the new Zelda had the best retail start and comfortably outperformed every physical game released this year. In the UK, it also sells 54% more than Hogwarts legacy. In a magical adventure, Warner Bros. reported that it sold over 12 million copies in its first two weeks.
The Legend of Zelda series has begun over 35 years ago. The first volume was released in the US in 1987 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. By March of this year, more than 130 million games in the series had been sold worldwide. Today we can add at least another 10 million to them.
