We recently wrote that Project Sirius, a new project from developer studio Molasses Flood, is back on a well-defined path after a reboot. However, the creators working on the spin-off from the world of The Witcher seem to have suffered a big financial loss as some developers say there have been layoffs from CD Projekt, which is in charge of the “small” company. Among other things, this news was launched into the world by narrative designer Robert Bailey, who revealed it through his personal Twitter. In general, layoffs affected a wider range of molasses departments.
Yesterday I was fired from molasses.
This time around, updating the biography isn’t as fun.
I enjoyed the work that I did until my last day, and I would like to continue to do so.If anyone has any ideas on storytelling and/or technical design positions, I’d be happy to take a look.

It’s not entirely clear how many developers were fired from the company as a result. However, according to the Games Radar+ server, this may be less than ten people, which can have a relatively significant impact on the work of the studio, because according to the LinkedIn network, it should have 43 employees. Neither side has commented on the move so far. Let’s hope that after this step, the development of the new part of The Witcher will go more smoothly, and there will be no new reboot.
I am sad to announce that I have been fired from The Molasses Flood. Now I’m starting to look for new opportunities. If you know a friendly and fun studio working on a stylized game and needing an environment artist, please let me know! https://t.co/WG9fyS3hBVhttps://t.co/PQ9eJBRLa5
