Valve, CD Projekt RED, Bethesda Game Studios, MachineGames, Tripwire Interactive, Bohemia Interactive… many creative departments that are quite regularly recruiting new employees in the ranks of modders. Among them is the Finnish studio Remedy, so we should probably not be surprised that Filippo Tarpini from Remedy came up with a modification that expands and improves the graphical capabilities of the project. Simply put, a studio employee, in his spare time, himself improved the game that the studio released several years ago through modding. Either way, the aptly named HDR ultrawide DLSS RT patch mod adds support for native HDR and full UltraWide resolution to Control, and also improves DLSS, texture streaming, or ray tracing. Tarpini even included in his almost official patch the ability to skip intro videos when starting the game, or disable depth of field.
The full list of changes, updates and improvements can be found on the Nexus Mods website, where you can also download the HDR Ultrawide DLSS RT patch. In general, this is enough an impressive result, which becomes even more impressive after watching the video from the Digital Foundry channelwho paid more attention to the work of Tarpini.
An already visually impressive game that pockets even many games released in recent months in terms of graphics, it just gets even better. Besides this is another clear reminder of how useful modding can be (and no, those sizzlers who ruin GTA Online for you are not really modders, but ordinary cheaters).
