Commandos is such a famous brand that more than one project has followed in their footsteps. Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is one of those games that certainly doesn’t deny its inspiration from the legend, although it’s aimed at a slightly different audience. Firstly, this is not the Second World War, but a fantasy pirate theme. In the last video introducing the world of this game, the creators show Iron Bay. It is assumed that this is one of the many bases of the Inquisition, not sparing the local world, which is quite clearly shown by individual passages of this place.
This is supposed to be one of the many locations you can go to during the game, so at least from what the creators present, we have something to look forward to. Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, the spiritual successor to Commandos and similar titles, doesn’t have an exact release date yet, but the game should arrive this year on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
