Sony invests in India’s gaming industry

Sony launched a project aimed at developing the video game industry in India, the most populous country in the world. On the so-called India Hero Project set aside by the Japanese giant 100 thousand dollars and promises a return on investment. Support will go to Indian teams regardless of their size.

Sony offers “mentors” to participating studios. In addition, developers will have access to Sony’s internal resources, which will fund some projects with the promise of a refund. There is also the possibility that PlayStation will release a funded game. Among the advantages is also the visibility of the commands themselves.

“The goal of the program is to identify promising local developers and support them in delivering an immersive gaming experience to the global gaming community,” writes Sony. “The India Hero project builds on this commitment and our belief in the Indian gaming market.”

The Hero of India project is an option Project herothe purpose of which is to change Chinese market. In the fall, Sony launched the third wave and provided $140,000 for it.
