Marvel’s Midnight Suns is one of those games that you won’t be able to finish in a few hours. This may take a long time. It must contain more than 65 thousand lines of voice dialogues. Development appears to have been extremely demanding, as evidenced by a recent Rock Paper Shotgun interview in which Marvel Midnight Suns creative director Jake Solomon gave a proper account of how things went. It was even supposed to cut the interview, about which he spoke like this:We cut 30 interviews, about 30 scenes from the game. We cut out a lot of them because we realized there were too many of them.“
Whether this was a good way is debatable, because according to some players, the absence of some story dialogues is very noticeable. Director Chad Rocco, who constantly pushed Solomon for interviews, agrees. However, he worked with the idea that there was enough dialogue, so he was cut.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns was originally going to have a lot more story chats, but creative director Jake Solomon tells us they cut at least 30 scenes “because we realized it was just too much” – https://t .co/HLdmGChMYB pic.twitter.com/c09sFVX86V
