Footage from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre makes it clear that not everyone will like this title. Obviously, this part will be a demonstration of relatively edgy fun. However, if you are interested in this work, despite some rather controversial shots, then we have great news for you. Already this month there will be a free technical test, which, according to the creators, will be held for this very purpose: “The purpose of the technical test is to see how the game handles the player base, servers, gameplay, and all the nooks and crannies of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Not only the players, but we also need to find out what works and what may need improvement before the release date, which is set for Friday, August 18, 2023.“
You’ll need different machines for different settings to play, but it’s clear that it won’t be an easy game, as the hardware requirements below show.

- i5 CPU / 8GB RAM / 30GB HDD / RTX 2070
1080p 60fps
- i7 CPU / 16GB RAM / 30GB SSD / RTX 3070

- i7 CPU / 16GB RAM / 30GB SSD / RTX 3090

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre test runs from May 25 through the weekend, so you’ll have plenty of time to try out all the content. The game itself releases on August 18 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. From day one, the game should be available through Game Pass.
