Fan-made remake of The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind in new gameplay footage

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, appreciated to this day, has undergone countless modifications and improvements over the course of its existence. Few, however, are as ambitious as a project called Skywind. Its authors decided to turn the complete The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind into the Skyrim engine.

This game from 2002 is significantly outdated in its original form, so its reworking into a more modern form will no doubt be appreciated by a large number of fans of the series. The scope of this fan-made remake is evidenced by the fact that the authors on it they have been in business for over ten years. A few days ago, the developers released new gameplay footage, thanks to which you can see what the expected project looks like in action, in a 20-minute demo.

The Necromancer in Mawia mission featured is based directly on Morrowind, so it should be familiar to those familiar with the game. The authors, but in some moments only they don’t strictly copy the original Morrowindbut also come up with their own ideas for level design, dialogue, or scripted sequences, which they too can do through the use of their own assets.

You don’t know yet when Skywind might be released. Given the complexity of the entire project and the ambitions of its creators, we will have to wait some more time. The same authors have a similar work. ambitious modification called Skyblivion, thanks to which you can play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on the Skyrim engine for a change.
