It’s unbelievable how far games have come in the last few years in terms of accessibility. Even game developers Forza Motorsport they want everyone to play their races, and they innovative visual accessibility and driving assistants for blind and visually impaired players. This makes it the most accessible title in the series.
Blind and visually impaired players will be able to enjoy racing thanks to a feature called Blind Driving Assistance, which will send them information about the position of the car, the approach, the progress of the turn or the need to brake in the form of a sound. For example, they will hear intense beepwhen it deviates from the route. The system was developed with the help of consultant Brandon Cole, who demonstrates in a video that if the player learns to listen, he can even win races against artificial intelligence.
The game also includes one hand controlwhich minimizes the number of buttons needed, and personal assistants for braking, steering or accelerating. There will still be a narrator for reading text in menus, customizing the color of UI titles and 3D objects in races, changing keybinds, text size selection and finally enemy difficulty level.
Forza Motorsport is coming to PC and Xbox Series X/S this year. It’s about the third quarter. The game will also be available with a Game Pass subscription.
