Spring is here! Nature wakes up, everything around begins to bloom beautifully (it stinks for allergy sufferers), and for us, the players, parties begin when we don’t know what to play next. Will it be a hard 4X strategy game, hunting for vampires, Link’s next adventure, escaping a monster, or finding a lover? He doesn’t need time to think. We will present you individual games in a beautiful way.
Age of Wonders 4
5/2 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
After a sci-fi detour, turn-based strategy Age of Wonders returns to the more popular fantasy setting among gamers of the series. The game will offer a hybrid gameplay between a complex 4X strategy and an RPG, in which you will decide how to manage a kingdom in various aspects from economics to politics, as well as manage an army in a turn-based tactical combat system. All with the goal of making your empire the largest and most powerful in the world.
REDPAL
2/5 on PC and Xbox Series X/S
It was originally going to be a small game from the creators of the Dishonored series. But over time, Redfall has evolved into a complex first-person shooter that wants to keep soloists and cooperative players busy. Whichever you prefer, you will start hunting vampires in a mysterious island town. Here, a legion of vampires eclipsed the sun and cut off the inhabitants from the outside world. You have to explore the open world and enjoy the story campaign, at the end of which you have to uncover the secrets of the vampire apocalypse.
DARKEST DUNGEON II
8. 5. on PC
It’s time to reassemble the group of the damned, equip the stagecoach and go on the last quest through the crumbling lands to prevent the apocalypse of the world. But you may soon discover that the biggest danger you will face in the darkness may come from within. Just keep in mind that as you relive the tragic story of four heroes, your decisions will carry more weight.
TT ISLE OF MAN: EDGE RIDE 3
May 11 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch
Now something for two-wheelers. For them, the third part will be released with the official license of the race, which is described as the most demanding and most dangerous race in the world. By 2017, it had claimed 250 lives. You will ride the sixty-kilometer track and its surroundings on the British Isle of Man with the full content of the 2022 season on modern and vintage motorcycles. We are invited to a unique and authentic experience with ultra-realistic physics.
THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: TEARS OF THE KINGDOM
5/12 on Nintendo Switch
After six years, the sequel to the bestselling The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is finally here. The game retains many aspects of its predecessor, including an open world that expands to include the sky above the vast expanses of Hyrule. You can look forward to exploring the mysterious islands floating in the sky above you. Here, perhaps, Link will find answers on how to save the familiar kingdom once again. Fortunately, he will have new abilities at his disposal, and he will be able to build machines, move pieces of stone and improve weapons.
HUMANITARIAN SCIENCES
May 16 on PC, PlayStation and PS VR
Mankind combines fiendishly challenging puzzles with platforming mechanics. From a bird’s eye view, you will play as a dog that must lead crowds of people to pillars of light at the end of the world. This is the last chance to save their minds. The difficulty will increase as you progress through more than 90 abstract levels, and the dangers will change and surprise you, including tension between Others and humans. Not only will proper planning be enough, quick reflexes and agility are also important. Because you will control the crowd only with your barking. HALF!!!
LEGO 2K DRIVE
May 19 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch
The creators of NBA 2K have come up with an open-world arcade dice racing game designed for both young and old racers. Here you can build any vehicle, drive anywhere and become a LEGO racing legend. In short, we can say that this is a Forza Horizon made of bones. At least, this is how the game presents itself, even if it focuses on the story and various modifications with the ability to assemble a racing car from more than a thousand different blocks. You can also choose from ready-made builds from LEGO City, Creator, Speed Champions and more to enjoy single and multiplayer racing.
AMNESIA: BUNKER
May 23rd on PC, PlayStation and Xbox
This is not just a new installment in the Amnesia horror series, this is the fourth installment that has more serious changes that will significantly diversify the gameplay and give players more freedom and options to deal with the threat. In the role of a French soldier, you find yourself in an abandoned bunker from the First World War, from which you need to escape. The problem is that there are small monsters in this place and a huge monster that you have no chance against. Such an alien from Alien: Isolation. The monster’s attention will be attracted by the sound, so you need to think carefully about whether to use a grenade to destroy small monsters or shoot a powder keg with a revolver. Wouldn’t it be better to use a flashlight in both cases?
WARHAMMER 40,000: BOLTgun
May 23rd on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch
Let’s remember the good old Doom and quick matches in Quake from the dark corridors. All this and more in a flashback pixel art first-person shooter set in the world of Warhammer 40,000 in which you play as a seasoned Space Marine. He is on a perilous mission across the galaxy, battling Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Daemons. Are you ready to load your boltgun and go into battle?
CHRONICLES OF MIASM
May 23rd on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
From the authors of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden comes another action game in a post-apocalyptic setting. Here, you’ll take a look at the post-collapse United States and enjoy real-time exploration of a devastated environment and turn-based combat, such as against mutant frogs. You will play as Elvis, accompanied by his robot brother Diggs, who will interact with you between missions to make the story of the main campaign more engaging. It also gives you access to new equipment and special abilities.
The Lord of the Rings: GOLLUM
5/25 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox
You will go to the famous fantasy world created by J. R. R. Tolkien, in a somewhat unconventional way. You will become Smeagol – better known as Gollum – who, after meeting with Bilbo Baggins, is looking for the thief who stole his ring. This stealth action-adventure beckons with a story that no one paid much attention to. You will find out how far Gollum is willing to go to get his beloved back. In doing so, he undertakes a perilous journey; from his escape from Mordor, where he fled from the Mouth of Sauron and the demonic spider Odule, to the dungeons of the elven king Thranduil, Legolas’ father. Perhaps it’s just a pity for the outdated graphics.
SYSTEMIC SHOCK
5/30 on PC
After a delay, the redesigned System Shock should finally be released later this month in an HD cover with modern touches. Since we covered the game on the March player calendar, we’ll direct you there.
