Konami is a hot topic in Japanese news. But it’s not because of the games. Instead, the company employee who was reviewed with arrested for attempted murder after attacking his former boss with a fire extinguisher.
A 41-year-old Konami employee was supposed to take a fire extinguisher and hit his former boss (48) with a heavy object on April 11 this year. Fortunately, the man was quickly subdued by the others in the studio and detained until the police arrived. The victim suffered a head injurybecause of which he will have to spend seven days in the hospital.
The accused was supposed to be his former orderly intimidated. The case was handled by Konami’s human resources department, who decided not to investigate the incident further, saying there was no evidence. However, since the summer of 2020, the man was transferred to another team. Why he decided to resolve the dispute in this way after such a long time is the subject of an investigation. However, the perpetrator had to claim that he hit the former boss with the intention of killing him.
