Welcome beyond the Forbidden West to the area Los Angeles, which has been devastated by tectonic and volcanic activity. And yet life here meets in the form of a tribe Kvens and a number of powerful and dangerous machines, such as the recently introduced flying machine waterfly.

The Kvens are an interesting tribe of seafarers. Aloy met his representatives already in Horizon Forbidden West. However, in the Burning Shores story expansion, we will get to know them in more detail and learn new information about them. Quens use Focus data. Compared to other tribes, they have a technological advantage that can be seen in their homeland. At the same time, Focus had to shape their culture in an interesting way.

Kvens don’t know how to make their own instruments. This is because their Focus can only display information up to a certain point in history. Anything after that is unreadable to them. Because of this they have a distorted view of the Old World and worship the pantheon of old world role models of 21st century CEOs and business moguls.

The Kven lived on the Burning Shores for some time, establishing an impressive settlement there. End of the fleet, which, according to the developers, will be interesting to explore (see the video above). We can look forward to meeting new characters such as Admiral Gerrit, a high-ranking commander of the Quen fleet and the leader of that Quen group. Thanks to him, even in harsh conditions, he keeps things together. They originally intended to find a new home, but lost half of their fleet in a storm and abandoned their search. Looks like Aloy will help them survive and maybe find a way to reunite.

she is important ambitious Marine Seikawho will do anything to help her people survive. Aloy will spend a lot of time with her and rely on her help in many situations. Seika should be self-confident, compassionate and wild. And, as you’ve probably guessed, she’ll play an important role in the next chapter of Aloy’s journey.

not lost here Alva, the first Quen that Aloy can call a friend. They bonded as they explored the ruins of the Old World and their discoveries about the ancient past. Aloy helped her find important data that would give her people a chance. In return, Alva helped Aloy on her mission and later joined Aloy’s growing group of friends at the Base.

The Burning Shores expansion will release on April 19 this year for PlayStation 5. Horizon Forbidden West is required to play. You can count on with Czech subtitles.
