Publisher Kalypso Media and Polish studio The Dust remind us of dark fantasy with a plot teaser trailer Inquisitor and in the form of a puppet theater, they offer a glimpse into the dark events that led to the eventful history of the city of Königstein.
The Inquisitor takes place in an alternate reality of 1500 AD. full of corruption and sin. In this alternate religious reality Jesus didn’t die on the cross. Instead, he broke free and took revenge on the unbelievers. Centuries later, in the name of God, an army of fanatical inquisitors continues to ruthlessly enforce their so-called sacred law.
The plot of the game unfolds in Königstein. Here we take on the role of Mordimer Madderdin, a servant of God and an inquisitor whose duty investigate crimesfrom which the city suffers. But sinister secrets extend far beyond the suburbs of Königstein. Unbeknownst to others, Mordimer can enter the mysterious Underworld. Here he can reveal sinister secretswhich are hidden deep in the souls of the suspects… But, as usual, there will be consequences.

As you can see for yourself in the teaser trailer and the attached screenshots, this game definitely doesn’t impress with its graphics. You can even see a tear in the image and weird main character animation. Let’s hope that the plot and the investigation of crimes will be better.
According to the latest information, The Inquisitor is scheduled to release in the fourth quarter of this year. Target platforms are PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
