In recent days, we’ve been bringing you The Last of Us Part I’s technically problematic PC version in the form of standalone news, a video comparison, and a full review.
We are now receiving some interesting information via Reddit from some players who have requested refunds on Steam. Usually, Steam will only accept refunds if a particular user played max 2 hours. But with The Last of Us, Steam seems to be giving money back even to players who have spent more time in the game.
Valve has taken a similar step in the past with other games that haven’t been technically mastered, such as Batman: Arkham Knight. In the case of the news from the Naughty Dog studio, this may be the main reason initial long loading of shaderswhich took some players several hours.
However, you cannot assume that Valve will refund your money even at the moment when you defiantly spent dozens of hours in the game or even completed it completely. However, you can probably expect a certain degree of favor for The Last of Us Part I.
