“I” was a very short sentence tweeted a few days ago by Mark Darra, a developer with many years of experience, when he confirmed he was back on the team behind Dragon Age 4. He spent almost a quarter of a century at BioWare, but left over two years ago – like other famous names. However, he now wants to use his experience to contribute to the completion of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, which has been in development since 2015.

Previously, Darra worked at BioWare as an executive producer and was involved in the creation of the Baldur’s Gate series. He was also behind the birth of all three parts of Dragon Age. But now he is not returning to his former role. “The Dragon Age team already has strong leaders,” he said on his YouTube channel. According to server VentureBeat, he should act as a consultant who, among other things, will ensure that the fourth part is seamlessly connected to the spirit of the trilogy.
EA also announced that part of the team currently working on BioWare’s next installment in the Mass Effect series will be helping develop the game. To put it simply: The fantasy RPG needs some finishing touches and some polishing, while the space RPG is still in pre-production so only a small group will be working on it for now.
“We continue to improve Dreadwolf while focusing on the things that matter most to our fans. As we merge our experience with the legacy of the series, Mark Darra has joined the team as a consultant,” said BioWare’s Gary McKay.
The fourth part of Dragon Age was officially announced in 2018 and has been in post-production since September last year, and footage from the game’s alpha version has also been leaked since then. At the end, we learn about him that he is not actually an innocent homeless elf, and he will probably be the main villain in the fourth volume. It is not yet clear when the game will be released.
