Evidence is emerging that E3 this year is doomed. The once-famous video game celebration is being rejected by other publishers and comes to the fore Summer Game Fest by Geoff Keighleyproducer and host of The Game Awards.
He joins Microsoft (Xbox), Nintendo (Switch), Sony (PlayStation) and Ubisoft. Segapublishing house Level Infinite Tencent and Devolver Digital.
We are not aware of the position of other publishers, including Electronic Arts, Square Enix, Activision Blizzard and Epic Games. Their reps declined to comment if they would attend E3 2023.
IGN sources say that ReedPop and ESA organizers have communication problems and they had not heard from anyone that they were definitely planning to attend the fair this year.
However, many publishers announce their participation in Play Days, that is, in presentations as part of the Summer Game Fest.
