The potential of the cubic world is limitless. The license is well used by the British studio TT Games, managed by Warner Bros. Games, which regularly creates games; most recently LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. But it can be done in a different way and still be fun, as the LEGO Speed Champions expansion for the racing game Forza Horizon 4 proved. As it turns out, we can look forward to new experiences in the future.
The cooperation of the Danish company with 2K was unofficially discussed last year. And here are the first images from the arcade kart racing called Lego 2K Drive, which are reportedly in closed beta and due out later this year. The races are supposed to take place on tracks and will likely be reminiscent of Mario Kart and Crash Team Racing.
In the leaked images, we can see that anything that moves in one way or another will race. Development was to be entrusted Visual Studio Concepts (NBA 2K, WWE 2K). Last year, Sumo Digital’s LEGO arcade soccer game (Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Hood: Outlaws & Legends) was also rumored to arrive as part of the World Cup in Qatar. But this did not happen, and no one knows how things are now.
The existence of the LEGO 2K Drive has been confirmed by multiple Insider-Gaming server sources. According to a tweet on the LEGA channel, the announcement will be made on Thursday, March 23rd.
