Rogue Legacy is a very positively rated roguelite genealogy game from 2013. Developers from Cellar Door Games claim that anyone in their world can become a hero. The most interesting thing about this game is that every time you die, your successor becomes your child. Every child is unique. One child may be colorblind, another may be dizzy, he may even be a dwarf. But that doesn’t matter, because no one is perfect, and you don’t have to be perfect to succeed in this procedurally generated adventure with over 60 different enemies.
The Disappearance of Ethan Carter from 2014 from The Astronauts will appeal to players looking for mysterious mystery stories. First person game focuses exclusively on research and discovery. Don’t expect any fights or explosions of any kind. You will play Paul Prosper, an occult elephant detective who receives a disturbing letter from Ethan Carter. Realizing that the boy is in mortal danger, Paul arrives at Ethan’s house in Red Creek Valley, where things turn out to be even worse than he thought. Ethan has disappeared after a brutal murder, which Paul quickly discovers may not be the only local murder worth investigating.
Too bad Epic doesn’t do Czech subtitles for The Disappearance of Ethan Carter. If you want to play with Czech localization, then I recommend buying the game before April 11, 2022 on Steam, where it is 80% off for €3.79.
