Open qualifier for the World Cup
In August, for the fifteenth year in a row, the World Esports Championship sponsored by the International Esports Federation will take place. Compared to last year’s Bali, this year’s venue will be Yasi in Romania. The best of the best will compete for titles in different games. Participation in the prestigious tournament will be given to those teams that pass the public qualification. If the team in question qualifies, it will still have a representative European tournament ahead of the IESF 2023 World Championships. The European part of the participants will fill a total of five positions, for which 42 teams will compete. The same format awaits applicants from Africa, America, Asia and Oceania. The game will cost $100,000, which is approximately 2.2 million CZK.
Representatives of our meadows and groves will try to claim the championship in three titles. These are iconic fps CS:GO, MOBA Dota 2 and sports eFootball. Anyone can really try to qualify. You must register on the website of the Czech Esports Association, have Czech citizenship and be 16 years old before the start of the regional tour. The qualification is held under the auspices of the eSports portal PLAYzone.cz, and its first stage will take place on March 15th. Then three days later, on March 18, the second round follows. The top two teams will advance to the national final, where they will compete for a slot in the pan-European qualifier and, if successful, for participation in the IESF World Championship 2023 itself.
Better updates for League of Legends
Developer Riot Games has announced that they are preparing better updates for one of their most popular games, League of Legends. They want to focus mainly on balancing individual heroes and making them feel better. The creators say they’ve always approached lineup changes in two ways. The first option was to tweak the number of playable characters themselves, which resulted in less problematic buffs and nerfs (buffs and nerfs). The second, more time-consuming method was to focus on a given champion for a long time and then make adjustments to address gameplay issues whenever possible.
“We have always had both ways of working in stock, but now we are focusing more on working with patches specifically for buffs.“, – the creators from Riot Games made themselves felt. But they emphasize that there will be no serious fluctuations. Thus, players can count on buffs that will make playing a modified hero more enjoyable. To date, two champions have already received such enhanced assistance , namely the Pantheon and Azir.
