The new Atomic Heart update introduces the highly requested FOV slider for Steam FPS games and also disables mouse acceleration on PC. The Atomic Heart 1.3.4 patch also fixes a bug that causes achievements to lose progress, improves Nora’s save menu on ultra-wide monitors, and fixes a number of other minor issues. The developers also note that official support for the Atomic Heart Steam Deck is in development.
Atomic Heart’s previous lack of FOV settings caused many players to avoid or stop playing the shooter, as many use the accessibility key tool to alleviate potential motion sickness. Fortunately, you will now be able to change the FOV in Atomic Heart, so if you delayed the game for this reason, now is the time to go back.
The Atomic Heart 1.3.4 patch notes also include disabling mouse acceleration. PC gamers generally don’t appreciate this feature when gaming, as it results in inconsistent movement speed when aiming with the mouse. If you’re playing on a 16:10 widescreen or 21:9 ultrawide monitor, you’ll be pleased to know that NORA Storage’s user interface has been enhanced for those resolutions when you interact with the stylish cooler.
