Studio Luminous productionwho created the failed action RPG game forgottenwill be swallowed up by society Square Enix.

Luminous Productions was founded in 2018 with the goal of creating AAA games that combine technology and art to bring a whole new experience. It was supposed to be a Square Enix showcase. with Luminous engine and the challenge was to create the first next generation game by a Japanese company. But it didn’t work out very well, the studio created a positively rated Final Fantasy 15 and a mediocre Forspoken, which rating around 6/10. The game has mixed reviews on Steam. However, it is sold for 80 euros.
“The merger is part of the company’s efforts to further enhance the competitiveness of the group’s development studios, which is a goal outlined in its current medium-term business strategy.” says in a press release. “The combination of these two organizations will further strengthen the group’s ability to develop HD games.”
