Bloodborne, God of War or even Detroit: Become Human. Some of the most famous titles from Sony’s latest generation of consoles are included in a pack of 20 games available for free to owners of new PlayStation 5 devices and PlayStation Plus subscribers. But Sony announced this week that the collection from 9th May cancels.
A package called the PlayStation Plus Collection was introduced in 2020 and was supposed to be a kind of bonus for people who bought a new “five” console. Its owners had a library of relatively diverse and excellent content at their disposal immediately after the launch and purchase of a subscription. In addition to the three games mentioned, it also includes the zombie action game Days Gone, a remastered version of The Last of Us, the latest entry in the Uncharted series, or Persona 5 (though not Royal). The full list of games can be found here.
It is not clear why Sony is canceling the collection right now. However, before the announced May date you can “save” the package. “All games in the PlayStation Plus collection can be added to your game library through May 9th and then play anytime in the future as long as you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription,” an email sent to subscribers said.
