According to court documents from 2020, Justin Roiland was charged with two felony charges: domestic violence and false imprisonment by threat, violence or deceit. The game studio Squanch Games itself announced the departure of Justin Roiland in a post on Twitter.

Squanch Games assures players that the studio will continue to develop games and support for the recently released High On Life will continue to be a priority.

Justin Roiland faces several years behind bars if found guilty. Roiland pleaded not guilty to both counts. Adult Swim has confirmed that it has cut all ties with the accused Roiland, but this news should not affect the Rick and Morty series. You can find more on sister Nerdfix.
