We have a second series of images (first here) dedicated to border crossings of the Western Balkans. Upcoming add-on package Western Balkans expands the map Euro Truck Simulator 2 eight countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia.
He will divide you 30 border crossings, including 10 transitions between existing in-game countries: Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Austria and Italy. Three of them are included in the Schengen area and do not require an intermediate stop.
As you can see the size of border crossings varies quite a lot. From a large crossing between Khorgos and Reshke (a village in Serbia and Hungary) to a small crossing in the valley between Vardishte and Kotroman (a village in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a village in Serbia). According to SCS Software, each transition has an important purpose, and the developers of the Prague-based studio try to create everything realistically.
At the border crossings they can form queues and your documents will be checked. In some cases, border guards or police officers may ask you a thorough inspection of your truck. This can be done using X-ray tractor and trailer in a special building or manually.
“The reason for these checks is the safety and protection of the driver and the country, as there are many different rules and laws regarding what can and cannot be brought into the country,” — developers explain.
Watch a short video. The Western Balkans DLC has no set release date. We expect it in the first half of this year.
Documents are ready, please! 👮♂️
