In recent months, Cyberpunk 2077 has been making regular appearances on the top-selling game charts. The whole situation ended in a class action lawsuitin which Rosen Law Firm sought financial compensation on behalf of the investors. According to investors, representatives of CD Projekt deliberately did not report before the release that the game was almost impossible to play on consoles. This hidden information was to subsequently result in $11 million in losses.

In addition to falling stock, this event also affected sales of the game. For example, the PlayStation Store Cyberpunk 2077 was removed from sale for several months. The California court ultimately ruled that CD Projekt should have settle $1.85 million, which is almost 42 million crowns. Although the entire court case is still pending further hearings, CD Projekt representatives have indicated that they will pay the said amount.
