However, in connection with Konami, there has also been talk for a long time that the announcement of new Silent Hill projects may portend the return of the Japanese publisher and other notable serieswho has been sleeping for a long time. The speculation revolves mostly around the Metal Gear series, the latest installment of which was released under the name Survive in early 2018.

A large group of fans now apparently decided to lure Noriaki Okamura, who worked as a producer on several older entries in the series and continues to work for Konami. In his short New Year’s message in Gematsu magazine, Okamura stated that 2023 will be a time of many announcements. He then listed the compound “long overdue” as his keyword.

If we really should expect new Metal Gear games this year, it could be remakes or remasters of selected old titlesthat have been speculated about in the past. However, following the example of Silent Hill, one cannot exclude a completely new part.
