Look under the hood of a canceled 2D version of Duke Nukem Forever

Duke Nukem Forever isn’t the only game that 3D Realms canceled during development. Production was also stopped in 1997 in the case of the title of the same name, which, however, was not a traditional FPS, but a 2D action game. In the end, unfortunately, it never came, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take a look at what the creators had in mind, as there’s an unfinished version that’s free to play on Archive.org.

However, keep in mind that this is not a full game, so this will be more of a glimpse of what could have been than something that will sink hours of your time into eliminating monsters. Everything looks pretty good in the demo provided, it could definitely be less of a mess than the released version of Duke Nukem Forever.
