Marek recalls that The Witcher 2 had a lot of launch and performance issues on PC at the time of release. But this is nothing compared to the troika, which cannot even be started.
“So I waited until 1 p.m. for the release of the Witcher 3 Next Gen update. Then I waited an hour for it to load. Then another half an hour before installing new drivers. And then it won’t start…” lamented Daniel Vavra.
Polish studio CD Projekt RED has not commented on the issues at the time of writing. Hope there will be a fix soon.
The next-gen update brings The Witcher 3 to life with a number of graphical and technical improvements.including a greatly improved level of detail, a number of communities and newly developed mods for the game, real-time ray tracing, and other things tailored to the performance of modern computers.
