November brought several big games, led by God of War Ragnarok, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as well as the PC version of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Even horror buffs who saw Canto and Dark Picture Anthology: The Devil in Me couldn’t complain.

Racing fans also had their fair share of fun as they got to play WRC Generations. The release of the unique RPG Pentiment from Obsidian Entertainment and the Evil West event from the authors of the Shadow Warrior series also attracted attention. In the current review, you can see the list of titles that are waiting for us in December.

Callisto Protocol

  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
  • Publication date: December 2nd
  • Location: Not
  • Price: 60 EUR/1500 CZK

At least survival horror fans have a clear idea of December’s most anticipated game. Callisto Protocol from Striking Distance studio under the direction of Glenn Schofield does not hide that it is inspired by the Dead Space series. The dense, gloomy atmosphere inside Black Iron Prison, combined with the third-person camera, clearly resembles the famous EA series at first glance.

In terms of gameplay, the game relies on a combination of melee and ranged combat. There will definitely not be a shortage of brutal moments and death animations. In short, horror with everything. Learn more about the game in our Gamescom presentation impressions.

Need for speed without limits

  • Platform: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S
  • Publication date: December 2nd
  • Location: Not
  • Price: 70 EUR/1750 CZK

Three years later, the Need for Speed series returns. Behind the new work with the subtitle Unbound are the developers from the Criterion Games studio, who have relied on a combination of realistic graphics with animated elements. It was the cartoon effects that became the subject of much discussion.

The authors finally calmed the angry community, assuring that these effects can be turned off. The basis of the game, as in the previous parts, should be arcade street racing, in which the police will play an important role. You can also look forward to a number of licensed cars, a character editor or sophisticated tuning options.

Marvel Midnight Suns

  • Platform: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S
  • Publication date: December 2nd
  • Location: Not
  • Price: 60 EUR/1500 CZK

The authors of the last few parts of the XCOM series from Firaxis Games, in collaboration with publisher 2K, decided to enter the waters of the Marvel Universe. But with the name Marvel’s Midnight Suns, they stay true to the tactical action genre with RPG elements. In a number of different demos, the developers mainly involved different heroes, which will be fixed in many ways thanks to the Marvel license.

In terms of gameplay, it’s worth mentioning the combat mechanics inspired by card games. In early December, the game will be released only on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S. Versions for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will come later.

hello neighbor 2

  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
  • Publication date: December 6
  • Location: Not
  • Price: EUR 34 / CZK 850

Lighthearted horror horror Hello Neighbor returns in a full-fledged sequel. Again, it relies on stylized graphics and mostly sandbox gameplay. Prim will mainly play exploration of the neighbor’s dwelling and stealth mechanics.

Chu-Chu Charles

  • Platform: PC
  • Publication date: 9th December
  • Location: yes (subtitles)
  • Price: we don’t know yet

In addition to the aforementioned The Callisto Protocol, horror fans should also check out the up-and-coming indie game Choo-Choo Charles. The title first garnered significant attention for its announcement trailer, which gradually gained over 4 million views on the creators’ official YouTube channel.

In the game, you will try to escape from a mechanical spider in the form of a locomotive. To move around the map, you will also use a locomotive that you can improve. This “train horror” definitely has an original idea.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion

  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch
  • Publication date: December 13th
  • Location: Not
  • Price: 50 EUR/1250 CZK

The name Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is not entirely new. The original PlayStation Portable version was released in 2007. The creators themselves call the new version, focused on all major platforms, not just a remaster.

Crisis Core is a story-driven prequel to Final Fantasy VII. Thus, the reincarnation of this already slightly forgotten work could be a welcome addition to the 2020 Final Fantasy VII Remake.

High quality of life

  • Platform: PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
  • Publication date: December 13th
  • Location: Not
  • Price: 50 EUR/1250 CZK

The handwriting of Rick and Morty and Solar Opposites creator Justin Roiland is clearly visible in the fun first-person shooter called High On Life. It was Roiland who co-founded the development team called Squanch Game.

High On Life clearly has to rely on humor, which should be taken care of mainly with the help of various talking weapons. With their help, you will try to destroy the alien cartel. The game will be available on Xbox/PC Game Pass on the day of release.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition (Next Gen Update)

  • Platform: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S
  • Publication date: December 14
  • Location: yes (subtitles)
  • Price: free for base game owners

Developer CD Projekt RED will release the expected next-gen update for The Witcher 3 in mid-December after a series of delays. In addition to improved visuals, you can look forward to a new camera, photo mode, mod implementation, or a new quest inspired by the Netflix series The Witcher.

A more detailed overview of the news can be found in a separate news release.

black tail

  • Platform: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S
  • Publication date: December 15
  • Location: yes (subtitles)
  • Price: 30 EUR/750 CZK

In Blacktail, an action-adventure game from Polish studio The Parasight and Focus Entertainment, you will help create the legend of Baba Yaz. The developers describe the game as a surreal first-person action game that, in terms of plot, should benefit from Slavic myths and a fairy-tale world.

As part of the gameplay, your bow combined with your glove should be the deciding factor. The authors also offer you to fight enemies, including boss battles, finding hidden objects or making potions.
