GamesRadar+ has reached out to the co-founder of Hopoo. Paul MorseFor more information on what the Risk of Rain IP sale means for the series. As for Hopoo’s contribution to Risk of Rain, Morse could only say he would share more information later. However, it shed some light on how the sale will affect the players of Risk of Rain 2.
“The gearbox intends keep creating content We’ll have more information to share for Risk of Rain 2 and the future of the series in the coming months,” he said, echoing a tweet from Hopoo stating that this sale will lead to “more content for Risk of Rain.” He also wrote: “Gearbox’ We know that our friends at the B&B are incredibly motivated to do what’s right for the fans.”
Morse, despite the sale of its primary IP, Hopo Games didn’t stop playing. Morse said the studio plans to independently develop new games that aren’t Risk of Rain. The team has already created another IP game in the past (Deadbolt, a 2D action and stealth game), but Risk of Rain 2 was their main project for a while.
