A few days ago at the Czech & Slovak Direct Showcase 2022, the first first-person shooter in the match-3 genre was shown. Matcha in the new trailer. The latter revealed part of the game’s plot and focused on various complex combat strategies.
The video picks up where the last trailer left off. However, this time the focus is on presenting match-3 mechanics in action and shows a few tips and tricks to effectively get rid of alien bugs threatening the main character Max and his friends. It also features several new types of enemies and thus prepares players for a lot of variability in the combat system.
The use of the environment, dynamic movement, quick thinking and planning will be the key to Max’s success in battle and saving the general from the clutches of enemies.
“After feedback from critics and players, we worked together on the visual effects of all characters and animation improvements. We recently released a redesigned version of our promotional video that includes all of the design changes. This is how we were able to switch the game to Unreal Engine 5which allows us to use the most advanced animation tools, and thanks to the Nanite system, environmental detail is greatly increased.” according to a press release from FiolaSoft Studio.
The latter also confirms that Matcho will support its release. DLSS 3.0 as well as FSR 3.0.

Matcho is currently in development and will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S by FiolaSoft Studio. They won’t be missed Czech subtitles.
