There European Commission announced that he has carried the conditions to communicate within decision aboutMicrosoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard: the new deadline is set for April 11, 2023.
As we know, ten days ago the European Commission did not give the green light to the takeover and moved into phase 2 by conducting new and more in-depth investigations to confirm the impact of the important operation on the market and consumers.
The deadline set at that meeting was set for March 23, so we are talking about a nineteen-day, ten-business-day delay for a decision that will be decisive for the success of the purchase.
It is not known why a delay was necessary under the previous terms, and it is not possible to determine whether this is good news or bad news in Microsoft’s interests.
Meanwhile, the Chinese antitrust apparently refused to buy Activision.
