stealth action Splinter Cell by Tom Clancy celebrates its 20th anniversary. On this occasion, Ubisoft has made a discount on the old parts of the series, is offering the first part for free, and is offering a first look at the upcoming remake.

You can also buy Splinter Cell Double Agent for €2.50, Splinter Cell Blacklist for €4 or Tom Clancy’s Origin Collection for €8.61. In addition to the first part, it contains the original Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six and EndWar.
But they are the main art from early development of the Splinter Cell remake. It is located at the very beginning of development and is built on a modern Snowdrop engine from The Division. The goal is to achieve next-generation graphics and modern gameplay that both veterans and new fans will enjoy while retaining the spirit and themes of the original game.
“Twenty years later, we can look back at the game’s story, characters, and overall story and make some improvements – things that may not have gotten old.” said creative director Chris Auty. “But the core of the story, the core of the experience will remain the same as it was in the original game.”
Although the remake is still a long way off, CTO Christian Carrière revealed that one of the big improvements will be artificial intelligence. “Of course, the commando will be better prepared,” Carrière stated, noting that their behavior would differ from that of normal security personnel, such as various room intrusions.
“We can improve how the AI interacts, how it reacts and what it reacts to. We can improve the cat and mouse game between Sam and the enemies.mostly because our enemies act like trained professionals.” — added lead game designer Andy Schmoll.
The remake is being developed by Ubisoft Toronto (previously the team led the development of Far Cry 6). Some time ago we learned about job offers adjusting the story to make it more suitable for modern players.
The original Splinter Cell was released on 11/17/2002 as an Xbox exclusive. It was ported to PC, PlayStation 2, GameCube and Mac the following year. Gradually the series has become one of the best stealth sagas, as well as Deus Ex or Hutman. The last volume, titled Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, was released in 2013.
Splinter Cell focuses on Sam Fisher, a special operations agent for the NSA secret organization Third Echelon. The former Navy SEAL became a cult character from the start thanks to his dry sense of humor and Michael Ironside’s voice acting. To date, Sam Fisher has starred in six main Splinter Cell games, as well as appearing in the Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six series.
