Prague studio Charles Games has successful historical educational games Assassination 1942 as well as Freedom 1945: Liberation. It now offers a shorter mobile and PC version that takes us back to 1939 to relive the events of the November 17th shutdown as a young medical student.

As conceived by the authors, the adventure combines elements of an interactive novel and a card game. In addition, players will have to make decisions that will significantly affect the plot and lead to several radically different endings. “The train to Sachsenhausen is a short and intense experience where every decision can affect your destiny,” explains the chief designer. Wit Shisler.

Just like in the games Charles Games Custom, “Train to Sachsenhausen” is a characteristic comic book pastiche, which he complements with real surviving records and eyewitness accounts in a so-called virtual museum.

The game was created in collaboration with the organization living memorywho cares about the victims of totalitarian regimes and tries to preserve their memory for future generations. Train to Sachsenhausen is available on Android, iOS and PC for free.
