However, the company’s representatives also mentioned sold copies of some selected publications in a conversation with investors. Among them, God of War from 2018 stands out, which, according to the latest data, sold 23 million copiesmaking it one of the most successful games ever released under the Sony brand.
In addition to PS4 and PS5, this number also includes devices sold on PC, where the game was released in January of this year. In March of this year, Sony reported that it had sold 20.4 million games, which means that over the past six months sales increased by less than 3 million.. It can be assumed that these are for the most part just sold pieces of the PC version.
In the God of War sales report, Sony adds that it expects similar sales success from the upcoming God of War Ragnarök, which follows the original game.
