Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia ends

Netflix has officially confirmed that Preparing for the fourth season of The Witcher. The fact that the series can get another series has been talked about for a long time, so in this regard it is not surprising.

But along with the confirmation of the new series, Netflix announced a change in the cast of the main role, which, probably, few people expected. Dear Henry Cavill he turns out to be Geralt of Rivia. He will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth, who you may know mostly from The Hunger Games, Independence Day: Resurgence or The Expendables 2.

Liam Hemsworth will experience as Geralt in the fourth series. Even before that, we have a completed third series with Henry Cavill, which we will see next summer. The reason for Cavill’s departure is unknown. But a few days ago it was announced that the British actor is returning to Superman, which will no doubt be quite a demanding role in terms of time and preparation.

On the official website of Netflix add Cavill’s short statement:“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been full of monsters and adventures. Unfortunately, I will be putting away my medallion and swords for the fourth series. In my place, the fantastic Liam Hemsworth will take on the mantle of the White Wolf. Following the example of the greatest literary characters, I pass the torch with respect to my time as Geralt, and I look forward to Liam playing this charming and captivating character.”

His comments on the new role Liam Hemsworth also added:“As a fan of The Witcher, I am thrilled to be able to play Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill was incredible as Geralt and I am honored to take on the reins and blades of the White Wolf in the next chapter of his adventure.”

Hemsworth goes on to add that he has been a big fan of Henry Cavill for years and is thrilled to enter the world of The Witcher as Geralt.
