Part of The Sims community is disappointed with the developers’ approach

The last part of The Sims series came out eight years ago, and the developers are still preparing more and more content in the form of add-ons. But what they are still criticized for is the team of content creators and community representatives. At the Sims Summit event, where various news related to the series are discussed, the developers thanked the fans. The developers thanked their community with a two-minute video showcasing the most important content creators, which some members of the Twitter community didn’t like.

The developers are accused of the fact that only one African American appeared in all two minutes. At the same time, it was part of the black community that took care of the black character models for years, because the developers didn’t handle it very well.

EA has in the past given space to community members who have been involved in the creation of modifications and adjustments to the appearance of African American characters in The Sims. The developers commented on the whole situation on Twitter, saying that they realize how important the community around black characters in The Sims is. They are also said to be instructive for the future and will attract the attention of more members of the community.

According to fans, this is not the only mistake of this kind, and the developers have done similar things in the past when they added the ability to create an African-American “Sim” relatively late.
