The gods in the land of Teyvat, where Genshin Impact takes place, live forever from a human perspective. But the Goddess of Wisdom spends almost all her magical power to protect her people, weakens, “dies” and is reborn as a small child. When this little girl is found by the bearded scientists of the Academy, they are so disappointed with her youth and ignorance that they decide to hide her from the public in a special “cage” in the temple. But the Goddess of Wisdom cannot grow old (and wiser) without contact with the outside world. So she remains locked in her cell unchanged for 500 years, and her only “rest” from endless imprisonment is her dreams.
These dreams are what the new teaser trailer is about, presenting the image of this goddess named Nahida.
The Gods (also known as the Archons) are one of the most powerful characters in this RPG, so almost all players are looking forward to the arrival of the fourth one. As we already know from a recent dev stream (and from closed beta leaks), Nahida will offer the most powerful ultimate attack (Explosion) so far, or a very strong “photograph” (marking) mechanic of enemies who will then share the damage . Additionally, this elemental attack can be used to collect fruits or flowers from a distance. She will definitely be one of the strongest characters in the game (who also seems to have great synergy with the dancer Nila from the latest expansion). But fans of the game are even more interested in releasing her (and adding playable adventurers to their team) because of her tragic story, which left many in tears in the brilliantly revealed teaser:
