The combination of PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now, which has been widely rumored lately, has been confirmed. Sony announced new version of PS Plus subscription, in response to the growing interest in subscriptions in the form of the successful Microsoft Game Pass. It will launch this June with over 700 games and more value than ever before.
“Since the launch of PlayStation Plus in 2010, SIE has been at the forefront of gaming subscription innovation. We were thrilled to be the first subscription console service to include the PlayStation Plus game library, and we also launched the first console streaming service with PlayStation Now.” This is reported by Sony in a press release.
“Today we are pleased to share with you the official news about the changes that are taking place in our subscriber services. This June, we will be combining PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now into an all-new PlayStation Plus subscription service that will provide customers with more choices across three membership levels worldwide.”

With the new PlayStation Plus service, players will be able to choose from three subscription levels:
PLAYSTATION PLUS REQUIRED
PlayStation Plus Essential will same as current PS Plus version and provides the same benefits, i.e. two games per month for download, exclusive discounts, cloud storage for saved game positions and access to online multiplayer.
Price: €8.9 per month, €24.99 per quarter, or €59.99 per year.
PLAYSTATION PLUS EXTRA
PlayStation Plus Extra offers all the benefits of the Essential tier and more. adds a catalog of over 400 of the funniest games on PS4 and PS5, including hits from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners.
Price: €13.99 per month, €39.99 per quarter, or €99.99 per year.
PLAYSTATION PLUS PREMIUM
PlayStation Plus Premium provides all the benefits of the Essential and Extra tiers. TO adds up to 340 gamesincluding PS3 games that will be available via cloud streaming.
These games include a catalog of popular classic games in the form of passwords and downloads from the first PlayStation, PS2 and PSP. And streaming original games from PS1, PS2, PSP and PS4.
However, streaming will only be available in markets where PS Now officially operates, which unfortunately we do not have. Otherwise, games can be streamed not only on PS4 and PS5, but also on PC.
This subscription level it also opens time-limited trial versions of games.so that players can try selected games before purchasing.
Price: €16.99 per month, €49.99 per quarter, or €119.99 per year.
PlayStation Plus Deluxe
In markets where PS Now does not work, Sony will offer PlayStation Plus Deluxe at a lower price than Premium. It will include a catalog of popular PlayStation, PS2 and PSP classics for you to download and play, as well as time-limited game trials. Also included are the benefits of the Essential and Extra levels. Local prices will vary depending on the market.
PlayStation Now is currently available in the US, Canada, Japan, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden.
When the new PlayStation Plus service launches, PlayStation Now will switch to the new PlayStation Plus menu and will no longer be available as a standalone service. PlayStation Now customers will be able to upgrade to PlayStation Plus Premium without increasing their existing subscription fees.
WHAT GAMES WILL BE INCLUDED?
“The new Extra and Premium levels are a major milestone for PlayStation Plus. At these levels, our focus is on ensuring that the hundreds of games on offer contain the highest quality content that sets us apart from others. At launch, we plan to include titles such as Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel Spider-Man, Marvel Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11 a Returnal. We’re working closely with our inventive developers PlayStation Studios and third-party partners to bring the best gaming experience to the library, which we’ll update regularly. More information about the games that will be available on our new PlayStation Plus will be announced at a later date.” Sony writes.
“Given that this is a large-scale case, we are gradually rolling out the new PlayStation Plus offering in regions. In June, we will launch first in several markets in Asia, followed by North America, Europe and the rest of the world where PlayStation Plus is offered.. Our goal is to launch our new PlayStation Plus subscription service on most PlayStation Networks. by the end of the first half of 2022. We also plan to expand the benefits of cloud streaming to other markets and provide more information later.”
