The case around voice actress Hellena Taylor continues. It all started with the actress herself, when she stated in several Twitter videos that she would not dub the main character in Bayonetta 3 because the studio only offered her $4,000 for the entire game, which she considered an insult and asked fans to boycott the entire game. However, a few days later, Bloomberg and VGC magazines published information that the amount was not true and that in fact she should have received at least $15,000 for the entire game. This has now been confirmed directly by Hellena Taylor.
According to her, the very original offer was $10,000 and she subsequently wrote to Hideki Kami, who increased the amount by another $5,000. However, she didn’t like that either, and she decided to turn down the role. Less than a year later, she was offered a smaller role for $4,000, which she also turned down.
As I wrote in the third part of my video track. I explained that their first offer was too low. The amount of this offer was $10,000. Remember, this is a $450 million franchise (not counting merchandise).

She also claims to have been paid £3,000 for the first game and only slightly more for the second. The amounts seemed small to her, so she hoped for a higher surcharge for Bayonetta 3 than she was eventually offered.
What is interesting, however, is the claim that, according to Taylor, the Bayonetta franchise (without merchandise) is worth $450 million. However, no one knows where she got that amount from, as neither of the two games sold very well. Various journalists also pay attention to this: “$450 million is a fictional (and frankly absurd) amount,” Jason Schreier announced this on Twitter.

The authors of the game from the studio PlatinumGames also issued a statement in the case a few days ago, who in a short message expressed their support for the new voice actress Jennifer Hale, who has become the target of attacks on social networks.
