Battlefield 2042 is a game under incredible development. Maps change, how weapons work, as well as operators. One would think that when EA is already making such drastic changes, it will also lead to a complete overhaul of the specialist system, which has long been a thorn in the side of most of the community who would like a well-defined weapon format back. Unfortunately, nothing of the kind will happen. According to the information released so far, the developers do not want to limit the range of weapons for the characters and thereby limit their combat capabilities. However, as previously presented, the rest of the equipment will be limited, which should determine the identity of the individual specializations.
The creators want to divide all the currently offered characters into just four traditional classes, which will include engineers, researchers, attackers and support. The task of the attackers will be to destroy the infantry on a large scale. Support will focus on respawning, healing, and supplying ammo. Scouts will monitor the battlefield, and engineers will repair and, possibly, destroy enemy equipment. They will always have a unique set of equipment available to fulfill their role. This is a good move and will definitely help some. However, as a regular Battlefield 2042 player, I might have preferred it to be even more powerful and achieve a well defined weapon range. News will appear somewhere in the middle of Season 3.
