According to the developers, this will be “the first story experience [ze série Mortal Kombat] exclusive to mobile devices, where players must assemble a team of fighters from a huge number of characters and launch them into massive real-time battles to stop a dark and dangerous threat wreaking havoc throughout the kingdom.

The series recently celebrated thirty years since the release of the first volume. So far, the latest Mortal Kombat 11 came out in the spring of 2019.
