EA is shutting down servers for older games, including Command & Conquer

Electronic Arts has completed the announcement, originally published in August this year. At the same time, it was decided that the servers of the old games in the series would be closed in October and November. Command and Rule as well as Army of two in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version.

But more games will be affected in the coming weeks and months. Online support will also be lost Edge of the Mirrorlater races Onslaught or NBA Jam: On Fire Edition.

With the exception of Codemasters’ Onrush, these are old games, most of which were released between 2008 and 2009, so not many players will be affected by EA’s decision.

Before you look at the full list below, we’ll add that single player will still be playable. Also, in Mirror’s Edge, shutting down servers simply means stopping the leaderboards.

  • Command & Conquer: Wrath of Kane – September 11
  • Mercenaries 2 – 9.11.
  • Mirror Edge – 1/19
  • NBA Jam: On Fire Edition – 1/19
  • Onslaught – 19.1.
  • Shank 2 – 19.1.
  • Gatling Gears – 1/19
