According to Chris Brother from the channel of gaming investigations people make games must indie studio Funomena complete all work by the end of the month. He wrote about this on his Twitter, noting that the studio was preparing to close since last Wednesday, when it began laying off contractors.
I’m quite upset to report that Funomena is due to close by the end of this month and all contractors have already been laid off as of last Wednesday.
This is a very sad end to the history of the studio, and I hope that all those affected can get back on their feet.

The estimated end of the study comes less than two weeks after the theme of the People Make Games research project focused on emotional abuse in independent studies. Team co-founder Robin Hunicke she had to emotionally blackmail and manipulate employees. It was often said that she also shared confidential information from individual developers without their permission.
“It makes me sad to realize that people are suffering from the mistakes I made. (…) Now I’m taking the time to talk to people, focus on feedback and come up with next steps,” Hunicke wrote after posting the allegations on her Twitter account.
Leadership is a journey, and often a difficult one.
It makes me sad to know that people are suffering because of the mistakes I made. I’m truly sorry. Right now, I’m taking the time to connect with people, focus on the feedback everyone is sharing, and consider my next steps.

However, the studio refused to connect. She posted on Twitter claiming that financial problems were to blame for her eventual graduation. Moreover, he did not definitively confirm his closure.
Funomena was in the process of closing an investment round just before the GDC and we are still actively working on it. Last week we informed everyone that if we don’t complete our fundraiser, we will be forced to close the studio.
