The Game Pass service has been with us for almost 5 years and during this time it has gained immense popularity among the players. Microsoft is constantly adding games from third-party developers and its own studios, including full news. The subscription has gradually spread from Xbox to PC, and also received its Ultimate version, with which players will receive all the benefits on both platforms, including Xbox Live Gold or cloud play. However, Game Pass has only been available to individuals so far, and this is said to be changing.

Journalist Jez Corden, citing sources familiar with Xbox plans, said that Microsoft is preparing family membership. He came up with it on the Checkpoint podcast and later in more detail in an article for Windows Central magazine. it’s about a subscription up to 5 userswhich of course will be much cheaper than 5 separate Game Pass subscriptions. But Corden does not yet know the exact price.

It’s not yet clear if Family Membership will only be available for the Ultimate version, or even individual memberships on Xbox and PC. It must be available in any case for any user in one state and can’t be part of the same household, although Corden said Microsoft could introduce one. Looking forward to launch this year and the official announcement may come very soon.
