Abandoned again delayed, Kahraman settled dispute with music maker

It’s here again. First announced in April last year, Abandoned quickly gained a lot of attention with all sorts of Silent Hill or Hide Kojima allusions, which the authors subsequently denied but then added other allusions. After the PS5 app fiasco and constant delays, we learned that a demo will be released early this year, followed by a prologue in the first quarter. However, the quarter ended and nothing happened. Studio Blue Box came up with another apology.

It happened at the instigation of the players themselves, who are looking for the title and asking where it is. The Twitter report simply states that the developers are not catching up and there has been another delay. The Prologue should come out “as soon as it’s stable, good and ready”. However, we never received a new release date, which, of course, did not please the player at all.

Did not help the whole situation and a new dispute that arose yesterday. The sound engineer, who appears on Twitter as “I’m KRIS”, claims to have created the song (which you can listen to below) for Abandoned, and Kahraman promised to use it, possibly in a trailer. He reportedly worked 50 to 60 hours with his team on the music, and every few weeks they received a message from the developers apologizing, but there was another delay.

Hasan Kahraman, the head of Blue Box Studios, stated that they never signed a contract or promised to actually use the music, confirming that he had no intention of using it. This made the sound engineer quite determined, because he allegedly heard for the first time that Kahraman did not use this song. In the end, however, the dispute was resolved relatively calmly, and Chris ended the dispute by letting the developers know early.
