Electronic Arts launches new Windows app. It replaces Origin, and the company calls it the next generation gaming platform for EA games on PC. The application must bring faster, more reliable and crisp gaming experience. This is the best place to experience amazing EA games, services and content.
“Today we are pleased to announce that the EA App has officially left the open beta and will soon replace Origin as the main gaming platform on PC. The EA app is our fastest and most efficient PC client. With new simplified design Easily find the games and content you’re looking for and discover your new favorite games. With automatic game downloads and background updates, you’ll be sure your games are ready to play.” we read in the press release.
One of the benefits of the EA app is connecting your EA account to other platforms and services, such as Steam, Xbox or PlayStation. Thanks to this, you will be able to create one big list of friends.
“You are easily recognized by your own unique identifier. Once connected, you’ll see what and when your friends are playing, so you can easily jump to their game and continue together.” EA reports.
The company writes that it has been working hard on make the transition from Origin to the EA app as easy and painless as possible. “Once you receive an invitation from us (which won’t last long), all your games and content, including previously installed games, will be waiting for you in the EA app.” publisher writes.
“We will also move your local and cloud saves so you can pick up where you left off. We’ll also migrate your friends list so you don’t have to worry about remembering all those player IDs.”
The new EA app is only available for Windows PC. MacOS players should continue to use Origin for Mac.
